Career Services

Career services are available to MPA students from three sources.

Graduate Career Advising Office

The main goal of the Graduate Career Advising Office (GCA) is to help our graduate students organize a personalized career strategy and to secure competitive employment opportunities. The Graduate Career Advisor is available to meet with graduate students on an individual basis for career consultations.

The John Jay Career Development Center

The Career Development Center provides services to both undergraduate and graduate students, including current students and alumni.

John Jay Careers Online enables students to search for jobs, internships and cooperative education opportunities; register for workshops and other professional development events; post a resume online; and access the Career Development Center events calendar. It also includes Vault, which enables students to research employers, industries, and career subjects.

The MPA Student Center

The MPA Student Center is accessible in Blackboard. It includes forums for advising, including career advising related to specializations.
