The movies for this class are, unfortunately, not all available from one source. I've summarized the options (and their prices) below.
$11.00 LEAST EXPENSIVE OPTION (REQUIRES ADVANCE PLANNING AND WATCHING AT LIBRARY)
If you were to watch all of the films you that are available at the library and then rent from Amazon or I-tunes the two films that are not available at the Library
(How To Make Money Selling Drugs & The Central Park Five) you could spend as little as $11.00 on videos for the course. Of course, you will be referring
to the videos for your assignments and so this option requires doing your written homework as well at the library.
$18.95 SECOND-LEAST EXPENSIVE OPTION (LIMITED ADVANCE PLANNING)
If you were to rent from Amazon or I-tunes the films as you needed them (and watched the Real CSI for free on the web from PBS), you would spend a total of $18.95.
This will allow you to watch the films at home and do your written work there as well.
$34.98 BEST DEAL (REQUIRES ADVANCE PLANNING)
If you subscribe to Netflix ($8 per month with a free month or a total of $24 for the semester) and then supplement as needed for the films
Netflix does not
have you can watch all of the films for the class AND get access to Netflix's services. BUT, this will require a fair amount
of advance planning because most of the films require ordering DVDs from Netflix a week before you need to watch them.
