All files should be saved on your computer as: your last name, followed by an underscore ("_"), followed by the first two letters of your first name, followed by an underscore ("_"), followed by the assignment number. So if a student named Saddam Hussein were to submit assignment number 1, the file name would be:

In answering these questions, you may want to refer to the transcript for the documentary.

 

1) Compare how popular culture represents fingerprint matching and how such matching is actually done.

2) Describe (A) what research question Itiel Dror identified (b) the approach he designed to answer the question (C) what the results of his research were and (D) the implications of his research for forensic science.

hint: You will likely need a sentence or two for each question (A-D).

3) What allowed the defense in the Anthony trial to challenge the forensic evidence presented and why do most defendants not have that ability?

4) What system, if any, regulates who can be declared a forensic expert in a courtroom?

5) Should one consider the ACFEI primarily interested in making money or primarily interested in insuring the quality of forensic examiners and the testimony they provide in court?  Your response should be at least 7 sentences and include three reasons to support your position.
