THIS IS ASSIGNMENT 10

In this assignment, you will create both a thesis statement and an evidence chart that will organize the evidence that you will use for an upcoming paper assignment. You won't be writing the paper for this assignment-- just the evidence chart.

The 2-3 page paper itself is due Friday 10/18 at 11:59 PM. You will be taking my feedback on this assignment to the writing center before writing the full paper (see below).

(You will recall that you were introduced to evidence charts in HW2 here)

STEPS:

1) The first step will be to look at next week's paper assignment (see syllabus) for which you be writing the evidence chart this week.

2) You should write a clear thesis statement for your paper.

3) Next, you should decide THREE CLAIMS for which you will provide points of evidence.

To help you out, I've created a document you can download here (delivered as a microsoft word .doc file to your desktop) that you can rename and just drop your evidence into.

This evidence should take the form of direct quotation of no more than 10 words (see here if you do not know how to reduce a quotation) from either source).

REMEMBER, YOU NEED TO VISIT THE WRITING CENTER BETWEEN 10/13 and 10/17

(I WILL EMAIL COMMENTS ON YOUR EVIDENCE CHARTS BY MIDNIGHT 10/12)
