Such Good Boys tells the story of an abusive mother, her two sons, and a grotesque murder. Jane Bautista, mother of Jason and Matthew was always a disturbed woman even as a young adult. From the outside, Jane had a good life consisting of wealth, good looks, and intelligence, but what was soon to be revealed was that Jane had dark demons hidden within her. Behind closed doors, she was greatly troubled. Her first marriage brought Jane immense resentment due to her husband committing suicide in front of her. Along with this resentment came Jason. Jason’s birth and similarities to his father brought Jane to the beginning of an ever-lasting abusive relationship between herself and her children. Jane disturbingly beat Jason from the very start of his childhood leading to his early adulthood. Matthew, her second son received the better side of Jane. But that wouldn’t always be the case. Jason and Matthew struggled in life due to their mother’s abuse and later developed schizophrenia. Jane’s mind gradually filled with paranoia and crazy theatrics. Her ability to distinguish between reality and fantasy diminished as days went by. Her two sons suffered for years until one day a decision was made to bring an end to their frantic lives. Fantasizing of the life they could have Jane’s brutal murder rested in the hands of none other than her own two sons.
