Notes about e-mail:
1) I will only communicate with John Jay e-mail
addresses; if you send it from some other address, it might get lost in
the spam...
2) I am online daily. I typically check my e-mail first thing in the morning
and last thing at night. If you email me between 6am and 10pm I will have
at least read your email. I tend to respond to messages later in the evening.
This can be a wide gap if you have a last minute pressing question so
plan ahead.
3) If you have a question that needs a quick response, please use my AIM
ID drdarabyrne. This is also a good way to gauge when I am online, available,
and responding to messages.

I will almost always be on-line during the following hours and will check e-mail:
(M.- W.): 9:45 - 10:45 AM, 3 - 5 PM
(Th.):
8 AM - 8:30 AM, 2- 4 PM, 10:30 PM (briefly)
(Friday): Sometime between 9 and 5 for 45 minutes
(weekends): once on both Saturday and Sunday.
Of course, I may check e-mail more often than this schedule suggests,
but this way you will know i
advance when you will get an answer to your e-mail.

I prefer to help you with most of your questions by e-mail, there are
often questions that can't be answered in that fashion. If you have a
question of this sort, please don't hesitate to call me during the hours
