In your own words and your words only, describe the FOUR most important changes to sex work in this period that the author identifies in the introduction. Remember, writers use paragraphs to indicate separate ideas--so look for the main idea in the introduction's four paragraphs.
2) What about the conditions of the Asian-American community in New York and other northern cities meant that Asian Americans were willing to pay more money for taxi dancing?
3) What troubled reformers most about taxi dancing? Be specific and use only your own words.
4) Taxi dancing expanded in this time period because, the author argues, it offered advantages to both men and women. Explain those advantages.
5) The expansion of taxi dancing *marginalized* the prostitution trade that had been so much a part of many New York neighborhoods. How and why did the marginilzation occur? (You will need to read and understand the entirety of the taxi dancing section to answer this question)
