THIS IS ASSIGNMENT 15

In this paper of 325 to 500 words, answer the following question:

How can the evidence in the film be interpreted to demonstrate that the use of Haitian sugar cane workers in the Dominican Republic is or is not a form of slavery?

WRITING REQUIREMENTS:

A) Your paper must have a clear thesis that answers the question; this thesis should appear in the first paragraph of your paper.

B) You must UNDERLINE your thesis (5 pts off if you do not)

C) You must provide clear and explicit evidence from the film; provide direct quotations when possible.

WRITING HINT:

Be sure your thesis explains HOW and WHY your answer makes sense. For example:

The use of Haitian sugar can workers in the Dominican Republic as portrayed in the film The Price of Sugar should be considered a form of slavery because of REASONS X, Y, AND Z.

Reason X would, then, be the topic of your second paragraph; Reason Y would be the topic of your third paragraph; and Reason Z would be the topic of your fourth paragraph.
